USA Archery Level 1, 2 & 3 Certification courses take place in TWO PARTS:
- Part 1 is an ONLINE, self-paced course that you register for and take on the USA ARCHERY EDUCATION HUB.
- Part 2 is a PRACTICAL course that is scheduled separately with a USA Archery Certified Instructor Trainer AFTER successful completion of Part 1 online. Registration for a Practical course will not be open to you before successful completion of Part 1.
NOTE: USA Archery wants Practical courses to take place in person, however Coach Tom Hinojosa has been given approval by USA Archery to teach Practical courses online only to those who cannot locate an in-person Practical course within 100 miles of their geographical location OR cannot locate an in-person Practical taking place within the time frame that their employer states certification must be completed. If you fit within those parameters, contact Coach Tom for approval to take one of his online Practicals.
Coach Tom’s online Practical courses are scheduled to fit his busy travel schedule and there is a strict minimum of 4 students per course. If you need certification before a specific date, you must plan well ahead of time to make that happen for yourself.
Level 1, 2 & 3 Practical Courses Taught by Coach Tom
When Part 1 is completed successfully, USAA will allow you to register for a corresponding Practical course. Registering for a practical course is done through your USAA dashboard.
To register for one of Coach Tom’s online Practical courses, first contact him for approval to participate. When approved, return to your USA Archery member dashboard and search for “Hinojosa” while on the Practical courses page.
REMEMBER: If you have not yet completed Part 1 successfully, the USAA site will not let you register for a Practical course.
It is NECESSARY TO REGISTER for the Practical course on the USAA site THEN send an email to tom@allamericanarchery.com to let him know you are registered. In that email, indicate which course you registered for. You will receive an invoice once your registration is verified.
Practical Course Fee: $130 for Level 1 (+$10 for international registrations). $135 for Level 2 (+$10 for international registrations). $325 for Level 3 (+ $25 for international registrations).
Registration is necessary at least 48 hrs prior to scheduled start of course.
Receipt of payment is necessary prior to attending a practical course.
As you can see, completing Part 1, then registering and submitting payment for the Practical course cannot be done at the last minute. Please plan accordingly.
A minimum of 4 students is required for a practical course to take place
In my profession I’ve taken many online classes by government agencies and multibillion dollar companies, but I can say with 100% truthfulness that the class put on by All American Archery was the finest one I’ve participated in. The excellent instruction and the smoothness of all links provided made the class superior to my prior experiences. I hope that USA Archery recognizes the fine staff at All American Archery and the fine job they do in supporting the archery community.
